Data Privacy Legal Director

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director, Data & Privacy Legal.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with leadership and teams to implement data regulations for the Americas and EMEA
• Develop and execute a comprehensive compliance program for applicable data rules
• Provide privacy counseling to Product teams and coordinate international data flows

Required Qualifications:

• J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and active membership in at least one US state bar
• 12 years of experience in an in-house legal department and/or law firm related to financial services and technology
• Experience managing and growing a team of lawyers
• Extensive general privacy experience with knowledge of US/EU data laws
• Familiarity with major privacy regimes such as GDPR, CCPA, PDPA, and PIPEDA
