Job Summary
To support a growing healthcare initiative, the full-time Data Processing Specialist will accurately process, enter, and maintain high volumes of patient data while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and CMS guidelines in a Birmingham, AL office environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Process and manage large volumes of data using Microsoft Excel
- Review, validate, and maintain data files to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Conduct audits of data processing activities to ensure compliance with CMS guidelines and internal quality standards
Required qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with large data files
- Knowledge of HIPAA requirements and confidential handling of PHI
- Experience reviewing and validating data for completeness and consistency
- Familiarity with healthcare data, CMS requirements, or patient experience surveys is preferred
