Data Protection Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Data Protection Engineer will manage day-to-day operational tasks for enterprise-level customers, including troubleshooting complex issues, maintaining case ownership, and architecting Commvault software solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Interact with customers to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues while maintaining case ownership
• Architect and suggest Commvault software solutions proactively to meet customer needs
• Develop and maintain accurate documentation, reports, and adherence to contractual obligations

Required qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in Technical Support or System Administration/Operations, preferably in Storage, Backup, or Infrastructure
• Solid understanding of Commvault solutions and backup theory/design
• Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with modern Operating Systems and Networking Concepts
• Strong customer service ethic and ability to work autonomously in a high-volume environment
