Data Protection Engineer

Job Summary

Focusing on automating data loss prevention operations, the full-time Data Protection Engineer will implement and scale DLP capabilities to protect the ecosystem from security threats while working remotely and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain DLP controls and tooling across multiple OS environments and decentralized datasets to prevent data security incidents
• Drive automation in DLP engineering and operations using LLMs and agentic AI to enhance efficiency and scalability
• Partner with various teams to deploy data protection technologies and support compliance with global regulations

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of security engineering experience with hands-on implementation of enterprise DLP programs
• Experience with insider threat and data protection technologies, including SIEM, UBA, and endpoint detection
• Proficiency in creating scalable, automated security processes with ML/AI tooling
• Knowledge of legal and regulatory considerations for handling sensitive data in a global enterprise
• Ability to utilize generative AI responsibly while maintaining human oversight
