Data Protection Engineer

Job Summary

Providing operational management for customer environments, the full-time Data Protection Engineer will troubleshoot complex issues, maintain case ownership, and enhance service delivery while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Interact with customers to solve problems and maintain communication on issue progress
• Architect and suggest Commvault software solutions to meet customer needs
• Develop and maintain expertise in assigned customer environments and contribute to software enhancements

Required qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 5-8 years of experience in Technical Support or System Administration, preferably in Storage, Backup, or Infrastructure
• Solid understanding of Commvault solutions and backup theory/design
• Experience with modern Operating Systems, Networking Concepts, and Computer Security
• Strong customer service ethic and excellent communication skills
