Data QA Lead
Job Summary
Working remotely on a contract basis, the Data QA Lead will manage all QA activities for large-scale data engineering projects, design and execute test strategies, and mentor a small offshore team while utilizing advanced tools like Databricks and Snowflake.
Key responsibilities
- Lead QA activities for data engineering and analytics projects, ensuring high-quality standards
- Design and implement robust test strategies and execute comprehensive end-to-end data testing
- Mentor junior QA team members and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Data QA, ETL/Data Warehouse Testing, or Data Quality Validation
- At least 1 year of experience in a formal team leadership or mentorship role
- Proven expertise in Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and SQL
- Advanced understanding of Data Warehouse, ETL/ELT testing, and source-to-target mapping validation
