Data Science Lead

Job Summary

Serving as the strategic architect for the organization's data ecosystem, the full-time remote Data Science Lead will design scalable data architectures, lead research on novel data sources, and establish rigorous analytical methodologies to ensure high-quality data integration into production solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and oversee the evolution of scalable data architectures that support advanced analytics and machine learning modeling
• Scout and evaluate new data sources, leading rapid prototyping and technical vetting of vendors to ensure data quality and integration
• Define and document methodologies for statistical analysis and establish validation protocols to ensure model and data integrity

Required qualifications

• 6+ years in Data Science/Data Engineering, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or architectural role
• Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), along with big data technologies like Spark and Kafka
• Deep understanding of data modeling, schema design, and MLOps deployment patterns
• Exceptional ability to translate complex technical architectures into strategic business value for non-technical stakeholders
