Data Science Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Data Science Manager to lead a team of data scientists in developing fraud detection models and financial risk products.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of data scientists, growing from 2-3 to 5-6 members
• Lead planning, resourcing, and communication with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
• Develop and maintain fraud detection models and conduct research on new fraud types

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant work experience with a Master's degree or 7+ years with a PhD
• 2-5 years of experience managing a team of data scientists, preferably in a startup
• 3+ years of startup experience
• Strong practical knowledge of machine learning and statistics
• Experience writing production code and conducting end-to-end data science development
