Data Science Manager

Job Summary

Leading a team in a remote capacity, the full-time Data Science Manager will set the technical direction for measurement and experimentation in the Rentals Analytics division, driving product decisions through analysis and modeling while mentoring data scientists.

Key responsibilities

• Establish the measurement strategy for the rental shopping funnel, including search, discovery, and lease conversion
• Lead deep-dive analyses to identify growth opportunities and translate insights into actionable product strategies
• Manage and develop a high-performing team of data scientists, fostering a culture of accountability and technical rigor

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in data science or product analytics, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Direct experience in consumer-facing product environments, focusing on experimentation and funnel measurement
• Strong understanding of A/B testing, causal inference, and consumer behavior modeling
• Proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience working with large-scale datasets
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and influence product strategy
