Data Science Manager

Job Summary

Leading a small team, the full-time Data Science Manager will develop and deliver machine learning and AI solutions for Claims use cases while providing technical leadership and managing projects in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Manages a team of data scientists and data engineers to create and maintain machine learning and AI solutions for the Claims organization
• Communicates project progress, insights, and recommendations to business partners and senior leadership
• Collaborates with Data Engineering, IT, and business partners to operationalize machine learning and AI solutions

Required qualifications:

• Graduate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related STEM field with 6-8 years of experience in a data science/analytics environment
• PhD in a relevant field preferred with 4-6 years of experience in data science or AI
• Prior experience mentoring or managing talent
• Experience developing and deploying predictive models into production
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
