Job Summary
Owning the full lifecycle of machine learning models, the full-time remote Data Science Manager will design, build, deploy, and monitor credit risk models that directly influence customer approval and credit decisions while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and engineer high-signal features from various datasets to enhance predictive power of credit models
- Lead the end-to-end development and implementation of strategic credit risk models, ensuring they align with business objectives
- Source, clean, and prepare financial data for modeling, maintaining high standards of data integrity
Required Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or Econometrics
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or ML Engineer with a focus on predictive modeling in credit risk or financial analytics
- Advanced proficiency in Python for statistical modeling and strong SQL skills for data extraction
- Prior experience in consumer lending or fintech, with a solid understanding of credit metrics like DTI and PTI
- Hands-on experience with model risk governance frameworks and effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
