Job Summary

Leading a team of data scientists, the remote full-time Data Science Manager II will drive the quantitative strategy and performance of Root's Digital Partnerships business, focusing on customer acquisition, pricing, and partner strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Own the performance, growth, and profitability of the digital partnerships portfolio
• Lead a team responsible for experimentation, forecasting, optimization, and partner performance management
• Develop strategies to enhance customer acquisition economics through various commercial levers

Required qualifications

• Advanced degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline
• 7+ years of experience applying quantitative methods to complex business problems
• 2+ years of people leadership experience, managing and developing technical talent
• Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous business challenges into analytical frameworks and measurable outcomes
• Experience leading experimentation, forecasting, optimization, or machine learning initiatives in production environments
