Data Scientist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Data Scientist to support the Department of Veteran Affairs AI Pilot Teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead data science efforts, collaborating with clients to understand mission and data
• Develop and train AI/ML models, and refine existing models for improved accuracy
• Prepare detailed documentation for models, including methodology, data sources, and validation results

Required Qualifications

• US Citizen with ability to pass a background check through the VA
• At least 8 years of experience in data analysis languages such as Python, R, or SAS
• At least 2 years of experience developing Reinforcement learning systems
• Experience with multiple database types such as SQL, Redis, and MongoDB
• Experience implementing event/data streaming services such as Kafka
