Job Summary

Seeking a full-time remote Data Scientist, the successful candidate will create and implement artificial intelligence products for Reuters News, focusing on deep learning, machine learning, and data preparation to enhance news delivery and audience understanding.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the CTO and team to develop AI and non-AI software products for real-time news solutions
• Gather and prepare datasets while training analytical models to support news delivery and audience analysis
• Evaluate systems and performance metrics to inform strategic decisions across various business units

Required qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in Python and software engineering best practices
• Applied experience in machine learning, deep learning, or computer vision
• Expertise in machine learning tasks such as feature engineering, image processing, or NLP
• Familiarity with recent machine learning frameworks and cloud-native applications (AWS or Azure)
• Experience working with large datasets, including preparation and analysis tasks
