Data Scientist

Job Summary

To support AI and analytics initiatives, the contract-to-hire Data Scientist will partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable data science solutions, design machine learning models, and implement advanced information retrieval capabilities while working onsite in McLean, VA.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and deliver AI/analytics use cases and scalable data science solutions
• Design and develop machine learning models, focusing on NLP, semantic search, and entity resolution
• Integrate models into production environments and support the development of analytics and reporting tools

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or applied analytics roles
• Experience with machine learning models, particularly in NLP and semantic search
• Proficiency in Python for data science and machine learning, along with solid SQL skills
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services and experience working with Databricks or Spark-based environments
