Job Summary

To embed data science capabilities into the Toast platform, the full-time remote Data Scientist II will apply statistical and machine learning models in collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Apply data mining, statistical analysis, and machine learning to deliver actionable insights for business and product decisions
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to identify opportunities and develop data-driven solutions
• Communicate analysis and recommendations effectively to high-level business partners in various formats

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, statistics, economics, or a related quantitative discipline; Master's preferred
• 2+ years of data science experience in an industry environment
• Solid foundations in statistical and machine learning concepts, including supervised and unsupervised learning
• Experience with Python, SQL, and machine learning frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
• Familiarity with cloud solutions, preferably AWS tooling like SageMaker and DynamoDB
