Job Summary
To support a growing sports analytics team, the fully remote NFL Data Scientist will analyze factor usage data, design tests for simulation changes, and develop machine learning models for factor optimization in sports betting.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze factor usage data to derive actionable insights and understand their impact on simulation outputs
- Design and implement tests to detect unexpected changes in simulations due to factor adjustments
- Develop and enhance machine learning models that drive core algorithms and contribute to model deployment
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Math, or a related field; Master's preferred
- 4+ years of experience in developing machine learning or statistical models in sports analytics or sports betting
- Strong foundation in Probability Theory, Machine Learning, and Bayesian Statistics
- Proficiency in Python and relational SQL
- Experience with source control (GitHub) and AWS environments
