Data Scientist

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Data Scientist II or III to work remotely, who will analyze data to provide insights, develop econometric and machine learning models for client research, and communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences in support of energy utility clients.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze data to provide insights and predict alternative scenarios for client programs
• Develop and validate econometric and machine learning models to address client research questions
• Conduct data exploration and evaluate data sufficiency for modeling and analysis

Required qualifications

• Advanced degree in economics, statistics, data science, or a related quantitative field, or a bachelor's degree with relevant industry experience
• Three or more years of experience in a data science or analytics role
• Proficiency in R, Python, SQL, or other programming languages for data manipulation and modeling
• Experience with version control software, such as Git
• Familiarity with Databricks or Spark and coursework in the energy industry is a plus
