Data Scientist

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Data Scientist II will build, validate, and deploy machine learning models to enhance customer intelligence and engagement for community banks and credit unions, while collaborating with senior team members on various modeling projects.

Key responsibilities

• Build and deploy machine learning models for customer segmentation and behavioral prediction in collaboration with senior data scientists
• Own data exploration, feature engineering, and model validation for assigned projects, receiving technical guidance from senior contributors
• Partner with MLOps engineers to deploy models to production and monitor their ongoing performance

Required qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in applied machine learning or data science roles, with at least 1 year in production-grade modeling work
• Strong proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit-learn) and SQL for data analysis and modeling
• Experience with supervised and unsupervised learning techniques, including classification and regression
• Hands-on experience with at least one cloud-based ML platform (AWS preferred, GCP or Azure acceptable)
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a quantitative field
