Data Scientist

Job Summary

To support critical policy questions, the remote-eligible Data Scientist will create and deploy data-driven solutions, manage data processing and analysis tasks, and collaborate with senior staff on statistical and machine learning methods.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct causal, predictive, and descriptive analyses while developing reliable data pipelines
• Write and maintain programming systems in languages such as Python and R to build and evaluate models
• Communicate technical results to diverse stakeholders and co-develop analysis plans with senior data scientists

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
• Experience using data science and statistics for projects with policy or social impact
• Proficiency in applying generative AI and executing data science techniques such as regression modeling and machine learning
• At least three years of experience in data cleaning and analysis using programming languages like R or Python
• Familiarity with reproducible research principles and common data science libraries
