Job Summary
Leading advanced research and predictive modeling, the remote Data Scientist will analyze residential housing and energy performance data, utilizing causal inference and anomaly detection techniques to enhance the accuracy of proprietary SCORE models and develop new performance metrics.
Key responsibilities
- Manage research partnerships to identify correlations and causal relationships in home performance data using advanced statistical techniques
- Analyze residential SCOREs and energy models to identify discrepancies and improve predictive accuracy through anomaly detection and validation
- Serve as the primary technical liaison for external research partners and assist in authoring publications to disseminate research findings
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent experience)
- 4+ years of applied experience in statistical analysis and predictive modeling with large datasets
- Hands-on experience with causal inference methods and a strong understanding of their application
- Proficiency in statistical programming languages (Python or R) and SQL
- Experience validating model outputs against field-collected data
