Job Summary

To support computational oncology initiatives, the remote Data Scientist, Cancer Informatics will develop and maintain Python-based data pipelines, focusing on machine learning and natural language processing to transform complex clinical data into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop, test, and maintain data pipelines for clinical research and quality improvement projects
  • Support cancer informatics projects involving machine learning and structured extraction from unstructured clinical data
  • Generate reproducible analyses and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Statistics, Engineering, Data Science, or related field; Master's Degree preferred
  • Minimum of two years of experience in quantitative data analysis, preferably with clinical data and machine learning
  • Expertise in SQL databases and programming languages such as Python or R
  • Deep understanding of statistical modeling concepts and machine-learning approaches
  • Demonstrated experience building or implementing data science workflows, particularly in healthcare contexts
