Job Summary

To support a curated network of clients in the alternative investment industry, the remote Fractional Data Scientist Consultant will provide expert advice on data infrastructure and analysis, focusing on project-based engagements with hedge funds and family offices.

Key responsibilities

• Scope, build, and lead the investment data science and analysis practice for clients
• Perform exploratory analyses and develop production-ready models for investment insights
• Collaborate with investment teams to create dashboards and track key performance indicators

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
• 6+ years of proven experience as a Data Scientist in a Hedge Fund, Investment Management firm, or Family Office
• Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker
• Hands-on expertise in emerging data science techniques and applications for Machine Learning/AI
• Demonstrated understanding of financial concepts and data science applications in the financial domain
