Job Summary
As a core contributor in the Credit Risk Analytics team, the full-time remote Data Scientist, Credit Risk will build and deploy predictive models, shape credit risk strategies, and analyze portfolio performance to drive business value.
Key responsibilities
- Build and deploy machine learning models for managing credit and fraud risks while collaborating with engineering teams
- Leverage complex data sources to develop strategies that enhance credit performance and optimize risk decisions
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses and communicate findings to support risk management and business initiatives
Required qualifications
- 2-3+ years of experience in fintech or finance, with a focus on statistical and machine learning techniques
- Advanced degree (M.S./Ph.D.) in statistics, computer science, engineering, physical sciences, economics, or a related field
- Expert knowledge of statistical programming languages (e.g., Python) and database languages (e.g., SQL)
- Solid understanding of coding best practices and ML ops principles
- Experience in consumer lending, particularly in unsecured personal loans or credit cards, is a strong plus
