Data Scientist / Developer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Data Scientist / Developer to support a proof-of-concept demonstration using machine learning methods.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and test statistical models and natural language processing integrations
• Engage with stakeholders to identify shortcomings in the current intake process and propose improvements
• Create and validate a prototype application demonstrating the impact of new technology on child outcomes and State resources

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, physics, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in US Federal Government data science programs requiring TS/SCI clearance
• Proven expertise in custom AI program development, including text processing and LLM application
• Minimum two years of experience designing machine-learning solutions based on first principles
• Strong knowledge of databases and programming languages including Python, C++, JAVA, and SQL
