Data Scientist for Real Estate

Job Summary

Bridging the worlds of real estate acquisitions and data science, the remote Data Scientist for Real Estate will leverage hands-on experience in multifamily commercial real estate to build innovative data-driven products, collaborating with product managers and engineers to enhance investment insights for institutional investors.

Key responsibilities

• Research and experiment with multifamily datasets to identify opportunities for new product features and insights
• Partner with product managers and engineers to define requirements and design data-driven capabilities for ApartmentIQ Invest Pro
• Apply large language models (LLMs) and other AI techniques to accelerate research, automate workflows, and unlock new insights from market data

Required qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in multifamily commercial real estate, with a strong background in underwriting, deal analysis, and pro forma modeling
• Proven experience using key market data sources such as CoStar, Yardi Matrix, or RealPage Market Analytics
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with proficiency in SQL
• Experience applying large language models (LLMs) or AI/ML techniques to accelerate research and extract insights from data
• Familiarity with modern data science practices, including model building, experimentation, and validation
