Data Scientist II

Job Summary

Acting as an internal business consultant, the full-time remote Data Scientist II will analyze data to solve business problems, optimize operations, and present findings to stakeholders, requiring collaboration in Costa Mesa, CA for two days each month.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret data from SQL databases to address business scenarios and reduce operational costs
• Utilize Python, R, or other tools for data analysis and visualize results using Tableau
• Collaborate with data engineers to present findings and confirm or refute stakeholder hypotheses

Required qualifications

• Proficiency in SQL and either Python or R for data analysis
• Solid foundation in statistics and data analysis with a proven ability to deliver insights
• Experience working with Agile teams and familiarity with Agile methodologies
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders
• Demonstrated flexibility and creativity in problem-solving approaches
