Data Scientist III

Job Summary

Owning medium-to-large data science projects end-to-end, the full-time remote Data Scientist III will build production-ready models, mentor junior scientists, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to solve complex marketplace problems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full data science lifecycle for moderately complex models, including data ingestion, feature engineering, modeling, validation, and deployment
• Partner with product managers to define success metrics and translate business problems into data science solutions, leading the design and analysis of experiments
• Mentor junior data scientists, providing technical guidance and influencing team standards and best practices

Required Qualifications:

• B.S. or M.S. in Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant industry experience; OR a Ph.D. with 2+ years of experience
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage the data science lifecycle from problem formulation to model deployment and maintenance
• Strong expertise in machine learning and statistics, with experience in methods such as gradient-boosted models and deep neural networks
• Proficient in Python and SQL, with experience in ML frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch
• Experience designing and analyzing experiments, including A/B testing and building validation frameworks for models
