Data Scientist in Vegetation Ecology

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Data Scientist specializing in Vegetation Ecology, Remote Sensing & Utility Management.

Key Responsibilities

• Fit and assess predictive models using geospatial data sources in R and/or Python
• Explore and analyze client-provided assets and reliability data sets
• Collaborate with a data science and engineering team to deliver projects and products to clients

Required Qualifications

• Master's or PhD with applied experience in forestry, ecology, vegetation-related remote sensing, or statistics
• Minimum three years of experience in data science projects using spatial or time-series data sets
• Extensive experience fitting and assessing predictive models using regression techniques in R and/or Python
• Experience in all phases of analysis, including data compilation and exploratory data analysis
• Experience collaborating with technical and non-technical peers and stakeholders
