Data Scientist (NLP)

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Data Scientist (NLP) to support federal client engagement projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Pre-process data sets for computational models using Python, including techniques like stop word removal and tokenization
• Apply NLP feature engineering methods and select evaluation protocols for modeling
• Develop and validate classification modeling techniques, presenting insights and relevance to business challenges

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree required; PhD preferred in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or similar (Bachelor's acceptable with strong Python skills)
• High proficiency in Python for NLP use cases such as Document Summarization and Sentiment Analysis
• At least four years of experience with scalable, production-ready NLP solutions using relevant frameworks
• Experience with open source NLP packages and transformer architectures
• Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust security clearance
