Data Scientist, Revenue Cycle

Job Summary

To support revenue cycle optimization in a remote environment, the Data Scientist, Revenue Cycle will analyze large datasets, develop predictive models, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial performance and patient experience.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with revenue cycle and operational leaders to drive data-informed decision making across billing, coding, and collections
• Analyze datasets to identify revenue leakage and optimization opportunities, and develop predictive models to improve cash collections and reimbursement outcomes
• Build dashboards and visualizations to monitor key performance indicators and translate complex data findings into actionable insights for stakeholders

Required qualifications

• Master's degree with 0+ years of experience, or Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with data analytics, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, Java, or C/C++, and strong experience with SQL and relational databases
• Familiarity with healthcare revenue cycle data, EHR systems, claims, billing, and payer workflows
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and modern data science tools preferred
