Job Summary
To support an enterprise manufacturing client, the full-time remote Data Scientist - Supply Chain Analytics will build demand forecasting models, perform demand variability analysis, and develop inventory analytics while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance supply chain decision-making.
Key responsibilities
- Build demand forecasting models using time-series methods and CV-based segmentation
- Perform demand variability analysis and provide actionable insights for planning teams
- Develop inventory pre-positioning analytics and monitor health/trend signals for supply chain planners
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a Data Scientist or analytical role within supply chain or manufacturing contexts
- Strong foundation in applied statistics, time-series forecasting, and demand variability analysis
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, PySpark, and SQL for analytical model development
- Proficiency in Python for modeling and SQL for data extraction and manipulation
- Ability to communicate complex statistical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
