Job Summary
To support an enterprise manufacturing client, the full-time Data Scientist - Supply Chain Analytics will build demand forecasting models, perform demand variability analysis, and develop inventory analytics, all while working remotely within U.S. time zones.
Key responsibilities
- Build demand forecasting models using time-series methods and CV-based segmentation
- Perform demand variability analysis to quantify forecast error and identify root causes
- Develop inventory pre-positioning analytics and translate model outputs into actionable signals for supply chain planners
Required qualifications
- 5+ years in a Data Scientist or analytical role with experience in supply chain or manufacturing
- Strong foundation in applied statistics and time-series forecasting fundamentals
- Working understanding of supply chain planning concepts and MRP logic
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, PySpark, and Spark SQL for model development
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for data extraction and manipulation
