Data Scientist with NLP Expertise

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Data Scientist - NLP to support long-term federal client engagement projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Pre-process data sets for computational modeling using Python, including techniques like stop word removal and tokenization
• Conduct feature engineering and attribute evaluation using NLP methods such as TF-IDF and word2vec
• Select and apply classification modeling techniques, including machine learning and deep learning for business problem-solving

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree required; PhD preferred in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
• High degree of experience with SAS, R, or Python for NLP applications
• At least four years of experience developing scalable NLP solutions using frameworks like sci-kit learn and TensorFlow
• Experience with open source NLP packages such as Gensim, SpaCy, or NLTK
• Must be a US citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance
