Data Services Technician

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Data Services Technician to provide support and assist in troubleshooting for Precision Agronomists and key stakeholders using proprietary software.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Precision Agronomist data operations in the proprietary software platform
• Prioritize and schedule help requests; escalate requests to appropriate specialists when necessary
• Utilize GIS for analysis, querying, and visualization of spatial data

Required Qualifications

• Two or four-year degree in an agricultural-related field, GIS, computer science, or related field
• Basic knowledge of GIS software (Esri ArcGIS or open source alternatives)
• Experience with major digital ag platforms and their associated data
• Use of Ag Leader SMS software for data conversion and processing
• Working knowledge of different data types, including non-spatial and spatial formats
