Data Solutions Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Data Solutions Engineer II will create and maintain data pipelines, manage data transformations, and integrate third-party systems to support public safety technology products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data pipelines for system integration, management, and analytics
• Build and maintain automated processes to support product deployment and evolution
• Engage in API integrations, data pipeline development, and data normalization

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical or quantitative field, completion of a coding bootcamp, or 3+ years of relevant technical experience
• Proficiency in writing T-SQL queries and strong programming skills in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash, JavaScript, TypeScript)
• Experience with JSON and XML data formats and using API REST clients for testing
• Understanding of deploying software to cloud hosts and familiarity with YAML for configurations
• Ability to pass a Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) background check
