Data Solutions Engineering Lead

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Assistant Vice President, Data Solutions Engineering will build operational data pipelines, deliver documented datasets for data integrations, and collaborate with business partners to create data engineering solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver well-architected data solutions in partnership with data platform engineers and other stakeholders
• Design data solutions in collaboration with business teams and mentor early career data engineers
• Lead the build-out and deployment of reliable and scalable data pipelines

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Math, Computer Science, or Engineering
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT, APIs, and Cloud data operations, preferably AWS
• Minimum of seven years in a data engineering role, with at least five years in programming (Python) and SQL
• Domain knowledge of Actuarial, Investment, and Finance within the Insurance/Reinsurance industry
• Robust knowledge of data lakes, data governance, and modern data quality techniques
