Data Specialist

Job Summary

To support the Department of Data Science, the part-time hourly Data Specialist will manage cross-lab information collection and synthesis, generate database records, and identify collaborative opportunities while ensuring effective communication with staff and researchers.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and synthesize information from academic publications and datasets to prepare concise written summaries
• Gather and manage relevant information, ensuring accurate organization and maintenance within databases
• Provide administrative support for departmental initiatives and facilitate communication among faculty and staff

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or comparable education, training, and/or equivalent experience
• Strong written communication skills
• Effective time management skills and a strong work ethic
• Attention to detail and well-developed critical thinking skills
