Data Steward

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Technical Data Steward will manage the governance, integrity, and quality of HR data assets for the HR Data Warehouse, ensuring compliance with enterprise data standards while collaborating with various stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and enforce enterprise data governance policies and standards
• Own technical data decisions and provide expertise on data management and integration processes
• Build and maintain a data catalog, ensuring accurate documentation of data definitions and lineage

Required qualifications

• Experience with Oracle HCM/PeopleSoft data and cloud data platforms (Azure Data Lake, Power BI)
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data integration/ETL processes (SQL Server, DataBricks, Azure)
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and best practices
• Experience in implementing data governance capabilities across an organization
• Understanding of data quality management and lifecycle processes
