Data Tech Lead
Job Summary
As a full-time remote W2 contractor, the Data Tech Lead will build and support an AI-ready Enterprise Data Platform in BigQuery, managing a 50/50 balance between hands-on development and technical leadership while collaborating with engineering teams on data modeling and solution delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Build and support enterprise-scale data pipelines in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Ingest data from on-premises and cloud-based source systems into BigQuery using medallion architecture
- Provide technical oversight and mentorship to development team members while remaining hands-on in development
Required qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery
- Proficiency in Dataflow, Dataform, Terraform, and SQL
- Demonstrated expertise in data modeling and building enterprise-scale data pipelines
- Direct experience developing and supporting data ingestion from both on-premises and cloud sources
- Experience supporting CI/CD pipeline automation and governed data delivery
