Job Summary
Leading a team of database administrators, the full-time remote Database Administration Manager will oversee database infrastructure strategy, ensure the reliability and security of database systems, and drive operational efficiency through innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of database administrators, managing performance and workload distribution
- Develop and execute the database infrastructure strategy aligned with business objectives and evaluate emerging technologies
- Oversee installation, maintenance, and optimization of Oracle, MS SQL, and PostgreSQL databases to ensure high availability and performance
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of progressive experience in database administration with 10+ years focused on Oracle 19c+ administration
- 3+ years of people management or team leadership experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with MS SQL Server 2012+ and PostgreSQL
- Expert-level knowledge of PL/SQL coding, debugging, and query optimization
- Strong background in Linux system administration and proven experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud
