Job Summary

A company is looking for a Database Administrator (DBA) for a contract-to-hire opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer and support Microsoft SQL Server databases hosted on Azure SQL Managed Instances
Perform routine maintenance, including backups, patching, integrity checks, and disaster recovery
Monitor database health and apply performance tuning techniques to optimize database performance

Qualifications:

5+ years of hands-on experience as a DBA with Microsoft SQL Server
Expertise in writing and optimizing T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, and queries
Solid understanding of indexing strategies, execution plans, and locking mechanisms
Experience in backup/restore strategies, high availability, and disaster recovery
Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Lake Storage Gen2, or other cloud data platform components
