Job Summary
Supporting multiple universities and institutions across Texas, the contract Database Administrator will manage and maintain large-scale database systems in a remote environment, focusing on operational stability, backups, and infrastructure support.
Key responsibilities
- Host, maintain, and support existing databases in a highly operational environment
- Ensure system stability through backups, restorations, and infrastructure support
- Manage access, provisioning, and escalations related to databases and server infrastructure
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, IT, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in SQL Server database administration and operational support
- 5+ years of experience in Windows and Linux infrastructure administration and troubleshooting
- Strong experience in backup, restore, disaster recovery, and access management
- Experience managing multiple RDBMS including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL
