Job Summary

To support enterprise database platforms, the remote contract Database Administrator IV will manage MongoDB administration in Microsoft Azure, focusing on database architecture, performance tuning, and disaster recovery while collaborating with development teams utilizing Java and Spring Boot.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and optimize MongoDB databases hosted in Microsoft Azure
• Design highly available, scalable, and secure MongoDB architectures using Atlas, Replica Sets, and Sharding
• Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and manage upgrades and disaster recovery solutions

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of Database Administration experience
• 5+ years of hands-on MongoDB Administration experience
• Experience managing MongoDB in Microsoft Azure
• Strong knowledge of enterprise database architecture and production support
• Expertise in performance tuning, backup & recovery, and high availability solutions
