Database Administrator Principal
Job Summary
Working remotely with occasional onsite meetings, the full-time Database Administrator Principal will administer and support SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL databases, focusing on database design, security, performance tuning, and AWS RDS administration.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement, and administer databases, ensuring security and access control
- Administer SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL databases, including performance tuning and backup/recovery
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation of routine database administration tasks
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience in an IT-related discipline
- Hands-on experience administering SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL databases
- Experience with AWS database administration, including provisioning and monitoring
- Working knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
