Database Administrator (Public Trust)
Job Summary
To support a federal civilian customer, the remote Database Administrator (Public Trust) will manage the administration, maintenance, and optimization of Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle databases while assisting with cloud modernization and data center consolidation efforts.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day administration of Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle databases, including installation, configuration, and patching
- Monitor database health and performance, escalating issues to senior DBAs as needed
- Assist with data migration tasks and respond to database-related incidents in ServiceNow
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of 4 years of experience administering Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle databases
- Working knowledge of database backup, recovery, and basic performance tuning concepts
- Proficiency in writing SQL queries and troubleshooting routine database issues
- Ability to obtain public trust clearance
