Job Summary
A company is looking for a Database Architect to join a mission applications development team for the Department of Justice.
Key Responsibilities
- Become the expert on current application database architecture for a suite of applications
- Lead and implement modernized database architectures to support modernization efforts
- Optimize database infrastructure for efficient processing and strategic initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees may substitute for experience
- 7-10 years of database engineering/architecture experience in complex, multi-application environments
- Experience with MS SQL Server, NoSQL databases, and PostgreSQL
- Hands-on experience with database performance tuning and query optimization
- Strong understanding of capacity planning, load forecasting, and high availability strategies
