Database Architect

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Database Architect to join a mission applications development team for the Department of Justice.

Key Responsibilities

• Become the expert on current application database architecture for a suite of applications
• Lead and implement modernized database architectures to support modernization efforts
• Optimize database infrastructure for efficient processing and strategic initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees may substitute for experience
• 7-10 years of database engineering/architecture experience in complex, multi-application environments
• Experience with MS SQL Server, NoSQL databases, and PostgreSQL
• Hands-on experience with database performance tuning and query optimization
• Strong understanding of capacity planning, load forecasting, and high availability strategies
