Database Architect

Job Summary

To support a growing data platform, the full-time Database Architect will design and evolve database architecture for cloud products, ensuring scalability and reliability while working remotely or onsite across various locations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and evolve database architecture for cloud products, focusing on scalability, reliability, security, and performance
• Define best practices for relational, NoSQL, time-series, and vector databases across different workloads
• Collaborate with engineering teams on database design decisions, performance optimization, and complex data issues

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with production databases in complex environments
• Strong expertise in relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL and MariaDB/MySQL
• Experience with database migrations and schema evolution in production systems
• Understanding of high availability, backup, monitoring, and recovery concepts
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and DevOps teams
