Database & Cloud Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Database & Cloud Systems Engineer will manage and optimize database environments, support Microsoft Azure (GCC High) systems, and integrate financial data to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and optimize Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server environments while implementing database structures and performance tuning
• Support and manage systems within a Microsoft Azure GCC High environment, ensuring compliance with FedRAMP, NIST, and CMMC requirements
• Integrate databases with financial systems and support data accuracy and reporting workflows for audit readiness

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database Administration and Microsoft SQL Server
• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure, particularly in GCC High environments, including deployment and support of database workloads
• 5+ years of experience in database administration, cloud engineering, or related roles
• Experience supporting regulated or government cloud environments, with familiarity in compliance frameworks like FedRAMP and NIST
• Expertise in database performance tuning and secure database architecture in regulated environments
