Database Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Database Engineer to join their Cloud Operations team.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, monitor, and optimize Azure SQL Databases and related infrastructure for performance and reliability
• Design and implement indexing strategies and support high availability and disaster recovery configurations
• Collaborate with teams to troubleshoot data access issues and manage automated backup and maintenance processes

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• 3-5 years of experience with SQL Server, including strong T-SQL and performance tuning skills
• Hands-on experience managing Azure SQL Database and SQL Server on Azure VMs
• Solid understanding of Azure Resource Manager, Azure CLI, and Terraform
• Experience implementing automated backup and monitoring processes in Azure
